This Morning viewers were livid today when the parents of twins with cerebral palsy were cut off mid-interview.
Louie and Ava Elbourne, who have appeared on the ITV show numerous times, were back and looked healthier than ever.
Parents Emma and Phil spoke about their children’s amazing progress after going through a devastating ordeal.
However, mum Emma was ‘rudely’ cut-off in the middle of her sentence by host Ruth Langsford.
Viewers were convinced it must have been for a breaking news bulletin, but it was actually just for a standard weather report.
They also pointed out that if the presenters had spent less time talking then they could have given their guests a greater opportunity to speak.
Both children were born with cerebral palsy, but Louie’s condition was worse than Ava’s and he was denied the same life-changing surgery on the NHS.
The family managed to raise £70,000 to give Louie pioneering surgery in the US so that he could walk like his siter.
Speaking about her kids, mum Emma said: “I think just all the support we’ve got is incredible but we’ll carry on.”
Dad Phil said: “We’ve got private physio therapy going. We go down to eEsex to kids physio every four months or so.”
Before being stopped, Emma added: “I think its important…”
Cutting in, Ruth said: “We need to go to the weather now but thank you sorry…”
She herself was cut-off before she could finish as the weather report came on screen.
This Morning viewers took to Twitter to slam the show for cutting off their guests.
One viewer said: “Cutting the family off with the desperate weather report led me to think it was important, breaking news. Just rain again… “
Another added: “Ruth Langsford, that was proper rude! Parents talking about their disabled twins and you just cut them off to go to the weather”
A third said: “They cut them off for the weather? Quite rude”
