Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl halftime show may not have impressed with its sound quality but this selfie has captured the world’s interest.
A youngster who managed to grab a selfie during the performance impressed the internet after he appeared to not know who JT actually was.
The teenager who was bopping along to the show while on his phone, managed to grab an adorable selfie live during the show and the world loved it.
Staring down at his phone the teen, later identified as 13-year-old Ryan McKenna, looked distinctly uncomfortable as Justin careered through the audience.
Many joked Ryan was looking up who Justin Timberlake actually was as he was too young to remember boyband NSYNC .
“I just thought to myself, ‘I’ll never get this opportunity again in my whole life,’” McKenna said. “I just went for it.”
“My phone started blowing up,” dad John McKenna told NBC. “It died, like, instantly after it happened. We had friends from all over reaching out. I couldn’t believe it.”
Returning to the stage more than a decade after the Janet Jackson ‘nipplegate’ affair, the Lovestoned singer shocked pretty much everyone at home with the Stella McCartney-designed look he opted to wear.
He was dressed in camouflage trousers and a shirt that featured deers and a desert print.
To top it off, he wore a red and white bandana around his neck. Unsurprisingly, Twitter was having quite the field day with the outfit.
One even called for Stella to quit, writing: “Stella McCartney should throw in the towel on her design career after that Justin Timberlake Deer on my Shirt/Red Bandana horror show of an outfit.”
Fan on social media also gave a mixed reaction to the star’s performance, with some describing it as an “amazing” show, while others were not as impressed.
Sean Larkin said: “What a half time show! Justin Timberlake is a one of kind talent. That little piece with Prince was so cool for Minnesota!”
