Sharon Osbourne says husband Ozzy ’s made her life a misery after his affair almost prompted a divorce.

The X Factor judge detailed how her aim was to make her Black Sabbath partner feel miserable for the pain he’d caused.

Sharon admitted she was determined to keep parenting her children and try to keep them together as a family.

Reflecting on how she treated Ozzy, 69, after he was caught cheating with his hair stylist, Sharon, 65, said: “Of course you want them to be horribly miserable – naturally, it comes with the territory.

“After a while, they can get better but they need to know the impact of their behaviour. I think it says a lot that he was brutally honest and I feel like he’s hurt somebody but he’s grown as a person. “

She added: “Because you’re miserable, you’re hurt, and you still have to [co-parent], therefore the pain that you feel, you want somebody to feel that pain.”

Last year Ozzy put his marital woes and infidelity with crimper Michelle Pugh, 45, down to his boozing rather than his libido.

Ozzy admitted even just enjoying a small glass of wine would lead him down a dark path to hell.

The star saved his long marriage to Sharon after a fling with his hairstylist.

Ozzy reflected on how he now prefers cups of herbal tea to booze binges.

However, he admitted his love of alcohol drove him to make poor personal decisions. “I know what’s going to happen if I start that again – I’m going to wake up covered in p*** and puke, on my own somewhere. I can sit here and go, ‘A glass of wine would be good,’ and the next thing you know, I’m waking up somewhere I didn’t intend to be, in a bad state. ‘Cause I can’t stop. [It’s like] a switch — from fun to necessity.”

Ozzy says to be safe he now lives with “Not drinking and not doing all that… I don’t smoke, drink, do dope…”

He added: “I am coming up on five years. I do not want it now, I don’t know how we did it. For a while it was fun, but when you cross that invisible line… one day, I wake up in a f***ing jail in England. I’m going, ‘Where the f**k am I?”

During a radio interview, Ozzy’s best friend guitarist Zakk Wylde added that his former hellraiser pal was a bore when they hung out.

“Me and Ozzy are just sitting there. He has a cup of tea, and he goes, ‘Look at me. I don’t drink; I don’t do drugs; I quit smoking — I never thought I’d do that; I don’t even drink coffee anymore.’ He goes, ‘Zakk, why am I alive?’”
