Ruby Rose has reassurred fans not to worry after she underwent surgery on her back.
The DJ and actress, 31, shared a picture of herself in a wheelchair following the procedure and said she wanted to let her fans know before she was pictured in public.
“So..For the past few years (decade) I’ve been dealing with a spine issue,” she wrote on Twitter.
“I am now recovering from a back procedure, but I do need to stay active, so before I get seen with my cane and wheel chair in public, I’d rather put it out there that I’m fine and going to be fine.”
Mebourne-born star Ruby, who is dressed in a ‘Strong Female Lead’ T-shirt, also posed with her girlfriend Jessica Origliasso.
Ruby, who is sat in her wheelchair in the shot while Jessica stands behind her, wrote: “Behind every strong female lead is another strong female lead.”
A few hours later Ruby tweetedChrissy Teigen asking the Sports Illustrated model to share some boredom-busting recommendations.
“What I need to know now is when I’m not wheeling around LA like a 102 year old, what movies, shows, books and video games do you suggest… I’m buying a switch.. I’m looking at you @ chrissyteigen what games should I get?”
Late last year Ruby revealed she had suffered from spine issues after being involved in a bad car accident.
She was responding to reports about her appearance following a red carpet film premiere. Addressing comments about her weight, she said: “This is always my back,” she wrote.
“I have a tilted posterior (it’s why I have abs but no butt) and spinal curvature from a bad car accident.”
