Have you ever wondered what the life of a crafty seagull was like?
Well, after one of the sneaky birds took it upon itself to steal a Go Pro the secret life of seagulls has been revealed.
Footage recorded on the camera shows its owner intentionally leaving the device out in the hope it would take it on an adventure.
He puts out bread crumbs on his balcony to entice the birds and within minutes three of them are seen flying over for the food.
After the flock pecks the bread one curious seagull can’t resist taking a look at the camera.
It creeps up to the device and, after gazing into the lens, it checks no one is looking before grasping it in its beak.
After a few moments the bird then flies off with the camera and amazingly even manages to position it in such a way as to capture the breathtaking landscape below.
Soaring into the sky, the seagull’s footage shows it flying over the owner’s garden before heading over beautiful clear blue sea.
All the while its wings can be seen vigorously flapping over the lens and its feet neatly tucked away.
It is not known where the seagull was flying, but after a few moments, it appears it eventually has enough.
It drops the camera, which goes tumbling to the ground in a dizzying spin.
Checking the Go Pro is OK the seagull then gives it a few taps of its beak before flying off to get on with the rest of its day.
Those who watched the video thought the camera’s owner was lucky that it did not do something worse.
One person said: “Gulls are evil. He’s lucky it didn’t try to sell it.”
And another wrote: “I think the statement is clear; animals do not like gopro’s.” (SIC)
Previously, we wrote about seagulls developing a new skill to target people’s takeaways .
And about their attacks becoming out of control .
Let’s just hope they don’t take things a step further and start stealing film makers jobs too.
