The Golden Globes 2018 are just around the corner and it’s going to be one of the glitziest events in the film calendar this year.

The 75th awards will also provide us with with some big clues about who’s going to win big when it comes to the Oscars in March.

The Golden Globes also reward both film and TV with gongs – unlike the Oscars.

With a star-studded lineup, a huge battle for who’s best dressed and, oh, just a few small awards, here’s what you need to know about when the awards bash is – and how you can watch it in the UK.

Dunkirk, which stars Tom Hardy, is up for Best Motion Picture

When are the Golden Globes on?

The awards are on this Sunday, January 7 at 5pm Pacific Time. As they’re taking place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in LA, which is eight hours behind the UK, this means that they’ll start streaming in the UK from 1.00am on Monday morning, and the awards will keep trickling in throughout the night.

How can I watch the Golden Globes in the UK?

NBC is showing the awards in the US – but this isn’t much use to us in the UK.

Of course, Mirror Online will be up all night and on hand to fill you in on all the details from the awards as they come in, so head to our dedicated page for the most up-to-date info as it comes in.

Who’s hosting?

Seth Meyers is hosting the show this year. He’s a US talk show host and takes over from Jimmy Fallon , who hosted last year.
