A former X Factor star is expecting her first child, her brother has announced.
Sarah Smith of Simon Cowell ‘s band Same Difference, who came third in the talent show in 2007, is pregnant with a baby son – and her brother Sean Smith is over the moon.
Speaking to The Scott McGlynn Show, Sean revealed: “A baby boy is on the way!
“I’m gutted as he’s due in March 2018 and I’m not back home until May as I’m on tour with We Will Rock You, but I’m very excited about becoming an uncle.”
Sarah, he said is doing well and currently running her own training school for children wanting to go into the entertainment industry.
“She’s running a Same Difference school for kids to learn how to sing, dance and act with additional fitness classes,” Sean revealed.
“She meets lots of young stars and it’s amazing seeing them blossom.”
Earlier this year, Sean unveiled a brand new look after splitting professionally from his sister.
It had been 10 years since the sickly sweet duo were asked to tone it down a bit when they auditioned for judges on the X Factor .
Back in 2007, Sean was a baby-faced pop prince with a mop of brunette hair, but he couldn’t look more different these days.
Walking out onto the Loose Women stage in May, viewers could have been forgiven for thinking it was a completely different bloke.
Now, he’s blonde, ripped, and unmistakably less cheesy.
“I was almost asexual when I was Sean from Same Difference,” he told the Loose Women panel.
He also talked about how he originally auditioned for the talent show as a solo artist, but producers saw his sister and asked them to sing as a pair.
But he’s now bringing out his first solo single, Magic, saying the split from his sis was “not a bad break up”.
People tuning into the show couldn’t believe how different he looked.
One said: “Well Sean Smith from same difference on X Factor years ago has definitely changed”
“Anyone else a bit shook that this is the guy from same difference,” said another.
Listen to Sean’s full interview on Tuesday 5 December from 10am on The Scott McGlynn Show.
