Amir Khan reveals he’s never watched I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! before as the stars meet for the very first time.
The 10 celebrities meet their new campmates at a luxury Gold Coast villa as they get one last taste of the good life before shipping off to the jungle.
After meeting the people they will spend the next three weeks with, the new recruits are greeted by lovable Geordie duo Ant and Dec.
They get the giggles when Amir confesses he has not seen a single episode of the ITV series before and has no idea what to expect from the show.
Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas was pleased to see fellow soap star Jennie McAlpine, who works with his ex Kym Marsh.
He said: “Yeah, two fellow northerners.”
While Made In Chelsea’s Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo couldn’t remember if she’d met YouTube sensation Jack Maynard before as they have mutual friends.
The group are then split up to face a series of terrifying Bushtucker trials.
It was a far cry from their luxury poolside photocall as all the celebrities were bundled into helicopters and some flown to a high rise building on Australia’s east coast.
Smiles were wiped off their faces as they saw the dizzying challenge ahead of them – aptly named the High Rise Challenge.
It involved the stars walking a plank off the building into the sky and then touching a poll at the end of the rickety board.
Clad in safety harnesses the celebrities gingerly made their way along the planks – with some braver than others.
World-famous boxer Amir Khan looked decidedly green as he took his turn on the plank while Coronation Street favourite Jennie McAlpine was seen taking a deep breath before she put her right foot forward.
YouTuber Jack Maynard grinned as he got off the chopper, only to be faced with the scary challenge.
Spurred on by hosts Ant and Dec the celebrities looked like they would prefer to be in the jungle surrounded by poisonous snakes rather than on a plank.
While that was going on, former Chelsea captain Dennis Wise and comedian Shappi Khorsandi were forced to sky dive into water.
As part of the infamous challenge, the pair had to perform a sky dive, land in a lake, then swim to a beacon to light a flare.
Meanwhile, ex politician Stanley Johnson and Rebekah Vardy, the wife of Leicester City striker Jamie, arrived at the site of their challenge.
As they made their way into the jungle they found the wretched wreck.
They discovered holes on the side of a wooden boat and had to put their hands in to retrieve coloured tokens.
However, the holes weren’t empty, as Stanley’s holes contained crabs, yabbies and toads.
Rebekah had to move her hand passed rats, spiders, cockroaches and scorpions to retrieve her tokens.
